91直播 to pilot TIA at 24 schools
91直播 has officially been approved to become a (TIA) district. The state-funded program will give 91直播 teachers the opportunity to earn a higher income while remaining in the classroom, making a difference in the lives of students.
鈥淲e鈥檙e excited about this because TIA will help us recognize and reward the exceptional work our teachers do every day,鈥 said 91直播 Superintendent Dr. Matt Smith. 鈥淚t will provide pathways for teachers to earn additional compensation while continuing to do what they love most, teaching students.鈥
The TIA program, created by the Texas Legislature, recognizes effective teachers, supports higher compensation, and strengthens recruitment and retention, especially in schools that have the greatest needs. Once fully implemented, 91直播 teachers in the program will be able to achieve certain designations that can lead to higher pay 鈥 up to $36,000 more.
91直播 will pilot its TIA program at 24 schools. Full implementation at those schools will take the next two school years, and awarded teachers will receive their first payouts in July of 2028.
“Implementing TIA in 91直播 has been a significant undertaking, and the work will continue as we move into the implementation phase,” said Dolloress Johnson, Executive Director of Human Resources. “It is work worth doing because it allows us to recognize and reward the exceptional teaching already taking place in our classrooms while supporting our efforts to attract and retain outstanding teachers. Ultimately, the greatest benefit will be for the students we serve each day.”
