91直播鈥檚 Capital Needs Steering Committee (CNSC) convened for its sixth and final meeting this week, marking the culmination of months of research, collaboration, and community-driven analysis to shape capital investment recommendations for the district鈥檚 future bond consideration.
Throughout the process, committee members reviewed extensive districtwide data, including facility conditions, instructional and programmatic needs, safety and security priorities, enrollment trends, and financial considerations. Meeting 6 focused on final deliberations, as members reviewed combined bond project submissions, evaluated levels of consensus, and worked collaboratively to confirm recommendations for presentation to the 91直播 Board of Trustees.
During the meeting, committee members examined aggregated results from individual submissions representing 55 proposed projects across academics and career and technical education, athletics, fine arts, technology, facility projects, safety and security, and transportation. Through structured table discussions led by the committee co-chairs, members reviewed each project to determine consensus. Ultimately, the committee agreed the combined responses would form one option to recommend to the 91直播 Board of Trustees.
The committee also engaged in table discussions and deliberations to develop an additional proposal for consideration. Each committee member cast a vote on all 55 proposed projects, resulting in a second option that reached consensus and will be presented to the 91直播 Board of Trustees for review and discussion.
Meeting 6 concluded with confirmation that consensus had been reached, as well as an overview of next steps. Committee co-chairs will present two recommendation options to the 91直播 Board of Trustees later this month. Board members will review the committee鈥檚 work alongside community survey results before determining whether to call a bond election.
