91ֱ�� has received updated 2025 A–F accountability scores from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) following the state’s formal appeal process where they incorporated rescore results submitted earlier this year. The revised results reflect corrected scoring for STAAR assessments that were initially excluded from the state’s calculations and public news release in August. TEA’s letter to 91ֱ�� on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, stated, “multiple 91ֱ�� campuses received inaccurate A-F ratings.”

Based on TEA’s revised results:

• Six 91ֱ�� campuses improved their A–F accountability overall score and rating 

• 38 campuses increased in either their overall score or domain score

• 91ֱ��’s overall district accountability score improved from a 76 to a 77

The updated results ensure that student performance is accurately reflected in the state’s accountability system and confirm gains already seen in the district’s academic data.

The following campuses saw rating increases based on the updated STAAR results:

• Arlington High School: C → B

• Berry Elementary: F → D

• Duff Elementary: B → A

• Hill Elementary: C → B

• Ousley Junior High: B → A

• Peach Elementary: D → C

Most rating adjustments were tied to corrected student growth calculations, updated performance levels in reading/language arts, and accurate counts of student groups meeting required indicators.

“These updated results provide a more accurate reflection of the progress happening across 91ֱ��,” said Superintendent Dr. Matt Smith. “Our teachers and staff have been focused on strengthening instruction and supporting students, and it is encouraging to see that work more accurately represented in the state’s data. We remain committed to building on that progress throughout the year.”

Each year, the Texas Education Agency issues A–F accountability ratings for school districts and campuses. Ratings are based on multiple measures, including STAAR test performance, academic growth, graduation rates, and closing learning gaps. While the accountability system is designed to provide families with a snapshot of school performance, it does not capture every aspect of a student’s learning experience.
