The 91直播鈥檚 Board of Trustees meeting on Nov. 20, 2025, is in the books, and here are a few of the highlights.聽
Webb Elementary sixth grader Abdiel Estrada started the meeting by leading everyone in the pledges of allegiance. Abdiel did a great job!
Four 91直播 high schools recently earned spots in U.S. News and World Report鈥檚 rankings of the best high schools in America:
- Arlington College and Career High School聽
- Arlington Collegiate High School聽
- Martin High School and
- Seguin High School.
Congratulations, to these schools.
The board also took time tonight to honor the district鈥檚 long-time community partner Arlington Charities, the largest non-profit food supplier in Arlington. They help thousands of our families every year with both immediate needs and long-term assistance. They also assist with monthly mobile food distribution events at the 91直播 Dan Dipert Career and Technical Center in partnership with the district鈥檚 Food and Nutrition Services Department. Thank you, Arlington Charities.
After the honors, the board heard a number of updates and reports, including one about the new Capital Needs Steering Committee. Trustees received a progress report of the work they鈥檝e done so far, which included the committee鈥檚 second meeting earlier this week. The volunteer committee is reviewing and analyzing data related to student enrollment trends, facility conditions, educational programs, and finances.
Then the board heard a report from the district鈥檚 demographer, Zonda Education, with updates related to enrollment patterns and projections, local demographics, regional economic conditions, and housing data. The information helps the district with long-term planning related to facilities, zoning, staffing, and more.聽
Later, 91直播 deputy superintendent Dr. Jennifer Collins gave an update on work that has been done to create a new vision statement for the district. She shared the draft statement 鈥 鈥淒ream Big. Learn Boldly. Shape Tomorrow鈥 鈥 and then solicited the trustees鈥 feedback.
Finally, the board approved the annual audit for the fiscal year that ended on June 30, 2025. Whitley Penn completed the comprehensive financial report.
